  1. Diagnose and treat pediatric patients with headaches using the latest evidence-based practices and techniques.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical history.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in pediatric neurology and headache treatment.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  6. Oversee and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT scans, and EEGs.
  7. Document patient visits and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Provide guidance and mentorship to medical residents and fellows in the field of pediatric headache neurology.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  12. Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and conferences.
  13. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and outcomes.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of practice.

Job Qualifications

  • Medical Degree: The Ideal Candidate For A Pediatric Headache Neurologist At Atrium Health Should Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Atrium Health Requires Candidates To Be Board Certified Or Board Eligible In Neurology With A Subspecialty In Pediatric Neurology.

  • Fellowship Training: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Fellowship In Pediatric Headache Neurology Or Have Extensive Experience In Treating Pediatric Patients With Headaches.

  • Licensure And Credentials: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Medical License In The State Of North Carolina And Be Able To Obtain Or Have Current Credentials Through Atrium Health's Medical Staff Office.

  • Experience And Expertise: Atrium Health Seeks Candidates Who Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Pediatric Patients With Headaches, Including A Wide Range Of Headache Types And Comorbidities. Experience With Advanced Diagnostic Techniques And Treatments, Such As Botox Injections And Nerve Blocks, Is Also Preferred.
