  1. Provide clinical pharmacy services to pediatric patients in critical condition, including medication therapy management and drug monitoring.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  3. Ensure safe and effective use of medications in pediatric patients by conducting medication reconciliation and monitoring for adverse drug reactions.
  4. Serve as a drug information resource for healthcare providers and families of pediatric patients.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and provide recommendations for pharmacotherapy optimization.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current pediatric critical care practices and guidelines.
  7. Educate and train healthcare providers on pediatric medication management and safety.
  8. Serve as a mentor and resource for pharmacy staff and students.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  11. Assist with medication procurement and inventory management for the pediatric critical care unit.
  12. Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies and procedures.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure the best possible care.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance patient care and safety.
  15. Uphold the organization's mission, vision, and values in all interactions and work activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy School

  • Completion Of A Pediatric Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Or Equivalent Experience

  • Board Certification In Pediatric Pharmacy (Bcpps) Or Critical Care Pharmacy (Bcccp)

  • Current And Unrestricted Pharmacist License In The State Of North Carolina

  • Strong Knowledge And Experience In Managing Medications For Critically Ill Pediatric Patients, Including Dosing, Monitoring, And Drug Interactions.
