- Safely transport patients throughout the facility using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Follow established procedures for patient transport, including infection control protocols.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Atrium Health Requires A Minimum Education Level Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent For The Position Of Patient Transporter Specialist.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Current Bls Certification From The American Heart Association Or American Red Cross.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates To Have At Least 6 Months Of Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, With Knowledge Of Patient Mobility And Safety Protocols.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Transporter Specialists Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Physical Ability To Lift And Transport Patients: This Position Requires The Ability To Lift And Transport Patients Of Various Sizes And Abilities. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Safely And Effectively.
