- Transport patients to and from designated areas within the facility, including but not limited to patient rooms, treatment areas, and diagnostic departments.
- Ensure the safe and timely transport of patients by following established protocols and utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members to provide a positive and comfortable experience.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during transport, making necessary adjustments and notifying healthcare team members of any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient transport activities, including patient information, transport times, and any incidents or concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate and prioritize patient transport needs.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with maintaining and organizing equipment and supplies used for patient transport.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required to maintain knowledge and skills related to patient transport and healthcare industry standards.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Transporter Specialist At Atrium Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Understand And Follow Instructions.
