- Respond to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care to patients in a calm and efficient manner.
- Assess patient's condition and take necessary actions to stabilize them before transporting them to a medical facility.
- Administer life-saving treatments and medications as needed according to established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including vital signs, treatments administered, and patient information.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on industry advancements and best practices.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in regards to patient information.
- Be available to work on an as-needed basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Represent Atrium Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Valid State Paramedic Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid State Paramedic Certification In Order To Provide Emergency Medical Care And Treatment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Paramedic, Preferably In An Emergency Setting.
Acls And Pals Certification: The Candidate Must Have Current Certifications In Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) To Provide Advanced Life Support Interventions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In High-Stress Situations.
Flexibility And Availability: As A Prn (As Needed) Position, The Candidate Must Be Able To Work Flexible Hours, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays, And Be Available To Be Called In For Shifts On Short Notice.
