In this role, you will play a vital role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations.   1. Respond to emergency calls and provide immediate medical care to patients in a calm and efficient manner.
  2. Assess patient's condition and take necessary actions to stabilize them before transporting them to a medical facility.
  3. Administer life-saving treatments and medications as needed according to established protocols.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including vital signs, treatments administered, and patient information.
  6. Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  7. Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on industry advancements and best practices.
  9. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  10. Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in regards to patient information.
  12. Be available to work on an as-needed basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  13. Represent Atrium Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid State Paramedic Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid State Paramedic Certification In Order To Provide Emergency Medical Care And Treatment.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Paramedic, Preferably In An Emergency Setting.

  • Acls And Pals Certification: The Candidate Must Have Current Certifications In Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) To Provide Advanced Life Support Interventions.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In High-Stress Situations.

  • Flexibility And Availability: As A Prn (As Needed) Position, The Candidate Must Be Able To Work Flexible Hours, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays, And Be Available To Be Called In For Shifts On Short Notice.
