
Operator - Central Energy Plant

- Operate and monitor all equipment and systems in the central energy plant, including boilers, chillers, generators, and electrical switchgear.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor fuel levels, water levels, and other critical indicators to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including equipment readings, maintenance logs, and fuel consumption.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations promptly and take necessary actions to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of the plant and its occupants.
- Coordinate with other departments and external contractors for maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any potential issues or hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols at all times.
- Continuously look for ways to improve plant operations and efficiency.
- Train and mentor new operators to ensure smooth and effective plant operation.
- Adhere to Atrium Health's mission, vision, and values in all job duties and interactions.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude towards patients, visitors, and fellow employees.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new equipment and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Central Energy Plant Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Hvac Systems And Mechanical Equipment, Including Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, And Controls.
Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols, Including Osha Regulations And Standard Operating Procedures For Operating Equipment.
Ability To Work Independently And Make Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Also Being A Team Player And Collaborating With Others Effectively.
