- Provide exceptional patient care: This includes assessing patients' needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments: Use standardized assessments and clinical observations to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities, and develop individualized treatment plans based on the assessment results.
- Implement therapeutic interventions: Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques to help patients build and improve their skills, abilities, and confidence in completing daily activities.
- Monitor and document progress: Keep accurate and detailed records of patients' progress and communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers: Provide education and training to patients and their families or caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home exercise programs to facilitate their recovery and improve their overall functioning.
- Stay current with industry standards: Continuously participate in professional development activities and stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field of occupational therapy.
- Maintain ethical standards: Adhere to the ethical principles and standards set by the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment: Contribute to a positive and collaborative team dynamic by communicating effectively, supporting colleagues, and maintaining a professional attitude.
- Represent Atrium Health: Serve as a representative and ambassador of Atrium Health by embodying the organization's mission, vision, and values in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Institution.
Current State License And Registration As An Occupational Therapist.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Center.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Teams.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practice And Current Trends In Occupational Therapy.
