- Perform high risk ultrasound procedures on expectant mothers according to established protocols and standards.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
- Accurately record and report findings to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for high risk pregnancies.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and troubleshoot potential problems during ultrasound procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on the ultrasound procedure and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including ultrasound images and reports.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to expectant mothers during potentially stressful procedures.

Knowledge Of High Risk Obstetric Ultrasound Techniques: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Various High Risk Obstetric Ultrasound Techniques, Including But Not Limited To Doppler, Biophysical Profile, And Fetal Echocardiography.
Experience With High Risk Patients: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With High Risk Obstetric Patients, Such As Those With Multiple Gestations, Advanced Maternal Age, Or Medical Complications.
Understanding Of Fetal Anomalies: A Strong Understanding Of Fetal Anomalies And Their Detection Is Necessary For This Position. The Candidate Should Be Able To Accurately Identify And Measure Abnormalities In The Developing Fetus.
Proficiency In Ultrasound Equipment: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With And Proficient In Operating Ultrasound Equipment, Including 3D And 4D Technology. They Should Also Have Knowledge Of Troubleshooting And Maintenance Of Equipment.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: Atrium Health Values Teamwork And Effective Communication. The Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In The Care Of High Risk Obstetric Patients.
