- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to patients and their families.
- Assist registered nurses and healthcare team in delivering high-quality care.
- Perform basic nursing tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and administering medication under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Proactively identify and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare team member.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Adhere to all infection control policies and procedures.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and experience.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Nursing Assistant I At Atrium Health Is Required To Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Atrium Health Requires All Nursing Assistants I To Be Certified Through A State-Approved Cna Program.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: In Order To Provide Care To Patients, A Nursing Assistant I Must Have A Current Bls Certification.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates With Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Nursing Assistant I Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills In Order To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
