- Provide respiratory therapy services to patients in various non-traditional settings, including homes, workplaces, and other mobile locations.
- Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatments.
- Educate patients and their families on proper use of respiratory equipment and self-management techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Keep abreast of latest developments and advancements in respiratory therapy and mobile medicine.

Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: Atrium Health Requires All Mobile Medicine Respiratory Therapists To Hold A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field. This Ensures That The Therapist Has A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Practices Of Respiratory Therapy.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (Crt) Or Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credential: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates Who Hold Either A Crt Or Rrt Credential From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc). This Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Competency In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist: Atrium Health Requires Candidates To Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Respiratory Therapist In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Mobile Or Emergency Medicine Environment. This Ensures That The Therapist Is Familiar With The Unique Challenges And Responsibilities Of Providing Respiratory Care In A Non-Traditional Setting.
Current Bls And Acls Certifications: Atrium Health Requires All Mobile Medicine Respiratory Therapists To Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications. These Certifications Demonstrate The Therapist's Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Mobile Medicine Respiratory Therapist, The Candidate Will Work Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team And Interact With Patients And Their Families On A Daily Basis.
