  1. Conduct laboratory tests and analyses to identify and study microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
  2. Perform quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  4. Follow established procedures and protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
  5. Accurately record and analyze test results and communicate findings to medical professionals.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advances in microbiology and implement new techniques and procedures as needed.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with laboratory standards and regulations.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in all aspects of laboratory work.
  10. Participate in research projects and contribute to the advancement of the field of microbiology.
  11. Train and supervise laboratory assistants and other personnel as needed.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records and data.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve laboratory processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
  15. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of microbiology.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Microbiology, Biology, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Microbiology Laboratory

  • Knowledge Of Standard Microbiological Techniques, Including Specimen Collection, Staining, And Culture Interpretation

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Equipment And Instrumentation, Such As Automated Analyzers And Pcr Machines

  • Strong Attention To Detail And The Ability To Accurately Record And Report Laboratory Results
