- Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies for testing.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality control standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Utilize cutting-edge technology and stay updated on industry advancements to ensure the most accurate and efficient testing methods are being utilized.
- Keep detailed records of test results and communicate any abnormal or critical findings to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or equipment issues that may arise during testing.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

- Continuously develop and enhance technical skills through training and education opportunities.
- Adhere to all Atrium Health policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns regarding laboratory procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Medical Laboratory Technology And Certification As A Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt) From A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures: Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures, Including Specimen Collection, Processing, And Analysis. Familiarity With Automated Laboratory Instrumentation And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Maintain Equipment.
Attention To Detail: Excellent Attention To Detail And The Ability To Accurately Perform And Record Laboratory Tests And Results. Knowledge Of Quality Control Procedures And The Ability To Maintain Accurate And Organized Laboratory Records.
Communication And Teamwork: Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Test Results And Collaborate With Physicians And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure Proper Patient Care.
Time Management And Multitasking: Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Workload In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes The Ability To Work Under Pressure And Meet Deadlines While Maintaining Accuracy And Quality Standards.
