- Conduct laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and accuracy.
- Enter and maintain accurate records of test results and patient information in laboratory information systems.
- Assist in the development and optimization of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and patients regarding test results and any discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment in the laboratory.
- Identify and troubleshoot any technical or equipment issues that may affect test results.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on new laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory.
- Follow all laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by laboratory management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Completion Of An Accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant Program
Previous Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Laboratory Procedures
