1. Conduct laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
2. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and accuracy.
3. Enter and maintain accurate records of test results and patient information in laboratory information systems.
4. Assist in the development and optimization of laboratory procedures and protocols.
5. Monitor and maintain quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
6. Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and patients regarding test results and any discrepancies.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment in the laboratory.
8. Identify and troubleshoot any technical or equipment issues that may affect test results.
9. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on new laboratory techniques and procedures.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care to patients.
11. Maintain strict confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
12. Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory.
13. Follow all laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned by laboratory management.
