  1. Lead and manage the Clinical Documentation Integrity team to ensure accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to clinical documentation integrity.
  3. Train and mentor team members on best practices for clinical documentation, including coding guidelines and documentation requirements.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare providers, coding professionals, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve documentation issues.
  5. Conduct regular audits to assess the quality and completeness of clinical documentation and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in coding and clinical documentation standards to ensure compliance.
  7. Analyze data and reports to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in clinical documentation processes.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, healthcare providers, and other departments to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  9. Monitor and track key performance indicators related to clinical documentation integrity and develop action plans to address any deficiencies.
  10. Participate in meetings and committees to represent the Clinical Documentation Integrity team and advocate for best practices.
  11. Manage the team's budget, resources, and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
  12. Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development for team members.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards in handling sensitive patient information.
  14. Proactively identify and address potential risks or issues related to clinical documentation integrity and escalate as needed.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and workflows to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Clinical Documentation Integrity team.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Documentation And Coding, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Related Field. Master's Degree Preferred.

  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (Ccds) Or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (Cdip) Certification Preferred.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Icd-10-Cm/Pcs Coding Guidelines And Healthcare Compliance Regulations.

  • Exceptional Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Interdisciplinary Teams And Manage Staff.
