1. Accurately code medical records using established coding guidelines and procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coding standards.
3. Train and supervise a team of clinical coders, providing guidance and support as needed.
4. Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
5. Collaborate with other departments, including medical staff and billing, to resolve coding and documentation issues.
6. Stay up-to-date on changes in coding regulations and guidelines, and implement necessary updates.

9. Participate in coding-related meetings and committees to provide expertise and recommendations.

11. Work closely with the revenue cycle team to ensure accurate and timely coding and billing processes.
12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
13. Act as a role model for the coding team, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the coding manager or leadership team.
