
Lactation Consultant - PRN

- Provide expert lactation support and education to new mothers and their infants.
- Assist mothers in initiating and maintaining successful breastfeeding.
- Conduct thorough assessments of breastfeeding techniques and provide individualized recommendations.
- Educate mothers on proper breast care, breast milk expression, and storage.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and babies.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and practices in lactation and breastfeeding support.
- Create a comfortable and supportive environment for mothers to discuss their breastfeeding challenges and concerns.
- Monitor and evaluate breastfeeding progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure success.
- Document all interactions and interventions accurately and timely.
- Educate and train other healthcare professionals on lactation and breastfeeding support.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion in all interactions with patients and their families.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and protocols related to lactation and breastfeeding support.
- Participate in community outreach and education efforts to promote breastfeeding and lactation support.
- Continuously strive to improve lactation services and contribute to the overall success of the breastfeeding program.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Certified Lactation Consultant (Clc) Or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (Ibclc) Certification From A Recognized Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Lactation Consultant In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Lactation Practices And Guidelines, As Well As The Ability To Stay Updated On New Developments In The Field.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Support And Educate Breastfeeding Mothers And Their Families.
Flexibility And Availability To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Evenings And Weekends, To Meet The Needs Of The Patients And The Healthcare Facility.
