  1. Manage and maintain the inventory of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for Atrium Health.
  2. Optimize the use of PACS inventory to ensure efficient delivery of patient care.
  3. Work closely with healthcare staff to monitor usage and anticipate inventory needs.
  4. Develop and implement inventory management processes and procedures.
  5. Conduct regular audits of PACS inventory to identify and address any discrepancies.
  6. Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to PACS inventory.
  8. Keep up-to-date with advancements in PACS technology and make recommendations for updates or improvements.
  9. Train and educate staff on proper use and maintenance of PACS inventory.
  10. Communicate effectively with various departments and teams to ensure timely and accurate inventory management.
  11. Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  12. Analyze data and generate reports to track inventory usage and costs.
  13. Maintain accurate records of PACS inventory and related expenses.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve inventory management processes and reduce costs.
  15. Adhere to all healthcare and technology regulations and standards.
  16. Serve as a resource for staff regarding PACS inventory and technology.
  17. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for improving inventory management.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Pacs Systems And Inventory Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Extensive Knowledge Of Pacs (Picture Archiving And Communication System) And Experience In Inventory Management. This Includes Understanding Of How To Track And Maintain Inventory Levels, As Well As Proficiency With Software And Hardware Associated With Pacs.

  • Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills: An Inventory Pacs Specialist Must Be Highly Organized And Have Excellent Time Management Skills. They Will Be Responsible For Managing And Maintaining Inventory Levels, As Well As Coordinating Equipment And Supplies For Multiple Locations Within Atrium Health.

  • Attention To Detail: Accuracy And Attention To Detail Are Essential Qualities For An Inventory Pacs Specialist. This Role Involves Working With Sensitive Medical Equipment And Supplies, So It Is Crucial To Maintain Precise Records And Ensure Accurate Inventory Levels.

  • Communication And Teamwork: The Inventory Pacs Specialist Will Work Closely With Other Team Members, Including Radiologists, Technicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Others Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Experience In Healthcare Or Medical Setting: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Or Medical Environment Is Highly Desirable For An Inventory Pacs Specialist.
