Intake Specialist

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:• At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient intake role• Excellent communication and customer service skills• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment• Working knowledge of medical terminology and coding• Strong organizational and prioritization skills• An understanding of HIPAA regulations and standards• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:

• Manage the intake process for new patients, including verifying patient information and scheduling appointments • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families • Update patient records with relevant information and code appropriately • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to manage and maintain patient files • Stay up-to-date on HIPAA regulations and standards • Answer patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient intake • Follow up with patients to ensure all paperwork and requirements are completed • Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules accordingly • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed
