- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on medical equipment and instruments to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and address equipment needs and make recommendations for new purchases or upgrades.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, including proper storage of instruments and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in medical technology and participate in ongoing training to maintain expertise in instrumentation.
- Follow all regulatory guidelines and standards for medical equipment maintenance and safety.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall patient experience and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to Atrium Health's mission, values, and code of conduct in all interactions and duties.
A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Instrument Technician In A Healthcare Setting.
Certification Or Licensure As An Instrument Technician Or Biomedical Equipment Technician.
Knowledge And Experience With A Variety Of Medical Equipment And Instruments, Including Troubleshooting And Maintenance.
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals, Schematics, And Diagrams.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals And Maintain Accurate Documentation.
