Job Description

At Atrium Health, we are looking for an Instrument Technician with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. As a part of our team, you will be an integral part of our mission to provide excellent medical services to our community. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent technical skills, and will be a team player who works well with others.To be successful in this role, you must possess an Associate's Degree in a related field and have at least two years of experience in a similar role. You must also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to problem solve and work independently. Finally, you must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities of the Instrument Technician:

  1. Maintain and troubleshoot instruments and equipment to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  2. Assist in the installation of new instruments, ensuring proper calibration and operation.
  3. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on instruments and equipment.
  4. Provide technical support to other staff members when needed.
  5. Maintain accurate records of instrument maintenance and repairs.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure instrument performance meets standards.
  7. Keep up to date with latest medical instrument technology and safety protocols.
  8. Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and protocols.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
