Job Description

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Instrument Technician to join our team. This individual should have a strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly diagnose and repair complex medical instruments and equipment. As an Instrument Technician, you will ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care by evaluating, maintaining, and repairing a variety of medical instruments and equipment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you are an experienced, self-starting technician with a great attitude and a passion for providing high-quality patient care, we want to hear from you!Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED• 2+ years experience in a medical instrument or equipment repair role• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of medical instrument and equipment systems• Excellent problem-solving skills• Excellent communication and customer service skills• Ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot issues• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate, maintain, and repair a variety of medical instruments and equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot issues quickly and accurately.
  3. Maintain quality patient care by providing high-level customer service.
  4. Ensure all instruments and equipment systems are functioning properly.
  5. Follow all safety protocols when handling medical instruments and equipment.
  6. Maintain inventory of medical instruments and equipment and order new supplies as needed.
  7. Follow all company policies and procedures.
  8. Report any malfunctions or repairs to the appropriate department.
  9. Provide technical support to staff and patients when needed.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
