
Exercise Physiologist - Inpatient

- Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine their physical fitness levels and develop individualized exercise plans.
- Monitor and track patient progress and adjust exercise plans accordingly.
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve overall health.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Implement exercise interventions for patients with chronic conditions or injuries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Communicate with patients and their families on their progress and potential barriers to achieving their health goals.
- Stay current on advancements in exercise science and incorporate new techniques into patient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients to exercise in.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to patient care and confidentiality.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient outcomes.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of exercise programs and services offered to patients.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members, such as exercise technicians and assistants.
- Maintain professional development and stay updated on certifications and licensure requirements.
- Promote the importance of exercise and physical activity for overall health and well-being within the community.
Bachelor's Degree In Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Or A Related Field.
Certification As An Exercise Physiologist From The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm) Or The American Society Of Exercise Physiologists (Asep).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Exercise Physiologist In A Hospital Or Inpatient Setting.
Knowledge And Experience In Conducting Exercise Stress Tests, Prescribing Exercise Programs, And Monitoring Patients' Progress.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team And Patients.
