  1. Maintain a clean and safe environment: The primary responsibility of the Environmental Services Technician is to ensure that all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, public spaces, and staff areas, are kept clean and free of hazards.
  2. Perform routine cleaning tasks: This includes dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  3. Handle waste disposal: The Environmental Services Technician will be responsible for collecting and disposing of all waste, including biohazardous materials, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  4. Restock supplies: This role involves regularly restocking supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning supplies to ensure that all areas of the hospital are well-equipped and maintained.
  5. Follow safety protocols: The technician must follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment, to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
  6. Report maintenance issues: The technician will be responsible for identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  7. Collaborate with other departments: The Environmental Services Technician will work closely with other departments, such as nursing and facilities, to ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Certification Or Training In Environmental Services Or Housekeeping Preferred.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting Preferred.

  • Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, And Perform Physical Tasks Such As Bending, Stooping, And Reaching.
