
Environmental Services Technician

- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in designated areas of the facility, including patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and common areas.
- Follow all established cleaning protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to effectively and efficiently complete assigned tasks.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests from staff and patients, such as spills or accidents, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Restock and replenish supplies in designated areas, including paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of various events and meetings held within the facility.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
- Follow proper waste management procedures, including disposal of hazardous materials, to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the environmental services team to ensure all areas of the facility are maintained to the highest standards.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to stay updated on cleaning protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety regulations and confidentiality guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to any requests or concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by actively seeking out ways to streamline processes and improve the overall cleanliness and safety of the facility.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards all individuals within the facility, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Atrium Health Requires All Environmental Services Technicians To Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Level Of Education And Are Able To Follow Written Instructions.
Previous Experience In Environmental Services: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Previous Experience In Environmental Services Or A Related Field. This Could Include Working In A Hospital, Cleaning Services, Or Other Healthcare Facilities.
Knowledge Of Cleaning And Sanitation Procedures: Environmental Services Technicians At Atrium Health Are Responsible For Maintaining A Clean And Sanitary Environment For Patients And Staff.
