- Perform all laboratory procedures related to assisted reproductive technology, including oocyte retrieval, embryo culture, sperm preparation, and cryopreservation according to established protocols and standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality and viability of sperm, eggs, and embryos using advanced laboratory techniques.
- Prepare and analyze samples for genetic testing and provide accurate and timely results to physicians.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Educate and counsel patients on laboratory procedures and treatment options.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the fertility treatment process.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in reproductive biology and laboratory techniques to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in research projects and contribute to publications and presentations in the field of reproductive and infertility medicine.
- Collaborate with other members of the Reproduction and Infertility department to ensure a cohesive and efficient approach to patient care.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to fertility treatments and patient confidentiality.
- Maintain a compassionate and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients and their families.
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Represent Atrium Health and the Reproduction and Infertility department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Advanced Degree In Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Or A Related Field
Certification From The American Board Of Bioanalysis Or The American Board Of Bioanalysis Embryology And Andrology
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Research Setting, With A Focus On Reproductive And Infertility Techniques
In-Depth Knowledge Of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Including In Vitro Fertilization And Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection
Proficiency In Laboratory Procedures And Equipment Used For Sperm And Egg Manipulation, Embryo Culture, And Cryopreservation.
