Job Description

Atrium Health is seeking a passionate and experienced ECMO Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a patient-focused healthcare professional who is looking to take their career to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of care for patients requiring ECMO support.To be considered for this position, you must have an RN license in good standing, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field. Additionally, you must have at least two years of experience in a critical care environment, specifically with ECMO technology. You should also have knowledge of ECMO circuit and equipment maintenance and have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.The successful candidate will be an energetic and proactive professional who is committed to providing exceptional patient care. You must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to think critically and make decisions quickly. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work and is eager to help us continue to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide the highest standard of care for patients requiring ECMO support.
  2. Ensure RN license is in good standing.
  3. Utilize ECMO technology in a critical care environment.
  4. Maintain knowledge of ECMO circuit and equipment maintenance.
  5. Troubleshoot and problem solve.
  6. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
  7. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
  8. Make critical decisions quickly.
  9. Remain passionate and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Cardiopulmonary Experience

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certification

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification

  • Critical Care Experience

  • Registered Nurse (Rn) Or Physician Assistant (Pa) Experience
