  1. Develop and maintain relationships with payors to ensure favorable contracts for Atrium Health.
  2. Negotiate and manage payor contracts to ensure the best possible terms and rates for the organization.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential payor opportunities and trends.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payor contracts with organizational goals and objectives.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and market changes to inform payor negotiations and strategies.
  6. Develop and implement strategic plans for payor contracting, taking into account organizational goals and financial targets.
  7. Analyze and evaluate payor contracts to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  8. Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance and operations, to ensure alignment and understanding of payor contracts.
  9. Monitor and track payor performance and contract compliance, and address any issues or concerns as needed.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other departments on payor contracting matters.
  11. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of payor regulations and compliance requirements.
  12. Represent Atrium Health in meetings and negotiations with payors, showcasing strong communication and persuasion skills.
  13. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline payor contracting operations.
  14. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the payor contracting team.
  15. Uphold Atrium Health's mission and values, and act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Healthcare Industry: The Director Of Payor Contracting At Atrium Health Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry, Including The Current Trends, Regulations, And Policies Related To Payor Contracting.

  • Strong Negotiation Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Negotiate Contracts With Payors To Ensure Favorable Terms For Atrium Health. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Persuasion Skills To Effectively Negotiate With Payors.

  • Financial Acumen: The Director Of Payor Contracting Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Financial Concepts And Be Able To Analyze And Interpret Financial Data Related To Payor Contracts. This Includes The Ability To Develop And Manage Budgets, Track Financial Performance, And Identify Opportunities For Cost Savings And Revenue Growth.

  • Previous Experience In Payor Contracting: Atrium Health Is Seeking A Candidate With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Payor Contracting, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Experience Should Include A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Negotiating Contracts And Managing Relationships With Payors.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Director, This Role Requires Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee A Team Responsible For Payor Contracting. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Managing A Team And Be Able To Provide Strategic Direction, Mentorship, And Support To Team Members.
