Atrium Health is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our Emergency Services team. As the Director of Nursing, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive the strategic vision for our Emergency Services department, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the Emergency Services department in alignment with the overall goals and mission of the organization.
  2. Oversee and manage all aspects of the nursing department, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
  3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission and state regulations.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to promote a patient-centered approach to care and improve overall quality outcomes.
  5. Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, staff, and community members.
  7. Monitor and analyze departmental performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
  8. Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff to enhance their clinical and leadership skills.
  9. Serve as a role model for professionalism, ethical behavior, and continuous learning.
  10. Participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed to ensure a high-performing team.
  11. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement emergency response protocols and disaster preparedness plans.
  12. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in emergency services nursing to drive innovation and quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources, including equipment, supplies, and personnel.
  14. Serve as a liaison between the nursing department and other departments within the organization.
  15. Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and patient safety in the Emergency Services department.

Job Qualifications
  • Active And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of North Carolina

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Services, With Demonstrated Leadership And Management Skills

  • Certification In Emergency Nursing (Cen) Or Nurse Executive (Ne-Bc) Preferred

  • Strong Understanding Of Emergency Department Operations, Quality Improvement Initiatives, And Financial Management Within A Healthcare System Setting
