  1. Review and accurately code medical records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation and coding for reimbursement.
  3. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any coding or billing discrepancies.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance.
  5. Identify and report any potential compliance issues or fraudulent activity.
  6. Assist in the development and implementation of coding and reimbursement policies and procedures.
  7. Train and educate staff on proper coding practices and changes in coding guidelines.
  8. Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry changes and trends related to coding and reimbursement.
  10. Utilize coding software and tools to assist in the coding process.
  11. Provide excellent customer service to patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  13. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
  14. Meet productivity and accuracy goals set by the organization.
  15. Serve as a resource for coding and reimbursement inquiries and issues.
  16. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Or Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Certification.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Coding And Reimbursement, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Coding Systems And Guidelines.

  • Proficient In Reviewing Medical Records And Identifying Appropriate Codes And Modifiers For Accurate Reimbursement.

  • Strong Understanding Of Medicare And Medicaid Regulations And Guidelines For Coding And Billing.
