- Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Monitor patients for changes in their health status and report any concerns to the nursing team.
- Assist with transferring and positioning of patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in educational and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with the organization and restocking of medical supplies and equipment.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
- Follow all policies and procedures of Atrium Health and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: This Is A Basic Requirement For Most Cna Positions At Atrium Health.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Atrium Health Requires All Cnas To Be Certified By The State In Which They Will Be Working.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Atrium Health Requires All Cnas To Have Current Bls Certification To Ensure They Are Trained In Emergency Procedures.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Always Required, Atrium Health May Prefer Candidates With Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Nursing Home.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As Cnas Work Closely With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
