1. Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
2. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
3. Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
4. Monitor patients for changes in their health status and report any concerns to the nursing team.
5. Assist with transferring and positioning of patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
7. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
9. Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
10. Participate in educational and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
12. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
13. Assist with the organization and restocking of medical supplies and equipment.
14. Attend and participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care.
15. Follow all policies and procedures of Atrium Health and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
