  1. Provide direct patient care: The primary responsibility of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Atrium Health is to provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a nurse. This includes assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the nurse.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Cna Certification: Atrium Health Requires All Cnas To Have A Valid And Up-To-Date Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Atrium Health Prefers Cnas To Have A High School Diploma Or Ged, As This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Communication Skills.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Always Required, Atrium Health May Give Preference To Cnas Who Have Previous Experience In A Hospital, Nursing Home, Or Other Healthcare Facility.

  • Physical Stamina And Strength: Cnas At Atrium Health Must Be Able To Assist Patients With Mobility And Daily Tasks, Which May Require Lifting And Moving Patients Who Are Unable To Do So On Their Own.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As Cnas Work Closely With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Provide Quality Care And Foster Positive Relationships.
