  1. Dispensing Medications: The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications to patients according to their prescriptions, ensuring the correct dosage and instructions are provided.
  2. Patient Consultation: This role will involve providing patient education and counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  3. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: The Clinical Pharmacist will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  4. Medication Management: This role will involve monitoring patients' medication regimens for efficacy and potential adverse effects, making recommendations for changes as needed.
  5. Adhere to Regulations: The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmaceuticals, as well as following Atrium Health's policies and procedures.
  6. Maintain Accurate Records: This role will involve maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient medications, interactions, and interventions, as well as documenting all clinical activities.
  7. Participate in Quality Improvement: The Clinical Pharmacist will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
  8. Train and Educate Staff: This role will involve training and educating other healthcare staff on medication-related topics, such as new drugs, proper administration techniques, and drug interactions.
  9. Stay Current with Industry Developments: The Clinical Pharmacist will stay up-to-date with industry developments, new medications, and changes in regulations to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
  10. Provide Excellent Customer Service: This role will require providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing any concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution

  • Active And Unrestricted License To Practice Pharmacy In The State Of North Carolina

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Pharmacy Experience In A Hospital Or Health System Setting

  • Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy (Bcps) Or Other Relevant Specialty (E.g. Ambulatory Care, Critical Care)

  • Strong Clinical Knowledge And Experience In Areas Such As Medication Therapy Management, Drug Interactions, And Pharmacokinetics
