
Clinical Monitor Technician (Paramedic)

- Monitor patients' vital signs and other clinical indicators to identify any changes in their condition.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any changes in patients' conditions, providing necessary interventions and alerting the medical team.
- Utilize medical equipment, such as EKG machines, to accurately monitor patients' heart rhythms and detect abnormalities.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patients' conditions and any interventions provided.
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure patients' safety and comfort at all times.
- Remain calm and focused in high-stress situations, such as during emergencies or code situations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures.
- Continuously monitor and maintain equipment and supplies to ensure they are functioning properly and readily available.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Valid Paramedic Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Paramedic Certification From An Accredited Institution. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Clinical Monitoring Tasks Effectively.
Experience In Emergency Medical Services: Atrium Health Requires Candidates To Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Emergency Medical Services. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Emergency Protocols And Can Handle High-Pressure Situations Effectively.
