Job Description

At Atrium Health, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Informatics Coordinator to join our team. The Clinical Informatics Coordinator will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating clinical information systems, including electronic health records, to ensure quality patient care and compliance with applicable regulations.The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or Computer Science. In addition, a minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting is required. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of industry standards and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, is also required. A working knowledge of database management and HL7 is a plus. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain clinical information systems, including electronic health records.
  2. Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
  3. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve clinical information systems.
  4. Coordinate system upgrades, testing, and implementation.
  5. Monitor system performance, security, and integrity.
  6. Train users on system usage and provide technical support.
  7. Develop reports and analytics to support decision making.
  8. Monitor user access and system security.
  9. Develop and maintain documentation including procedures, user guides, and training materials.
  10. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system requirements are met.
