Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Life Team Lead to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide emotional and developmental support to patients and families, as well as oversee and guide a team of child life specialists.   1. Develop and implement child life programming and services to meet the emotional and developmental needs of young patients and their families during hospital stays.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of child life specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and other team members to create a comprehensive plan of care for each patient.
  4. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients, taking into consideration their specific needs and goals.
  5. Utilize evidence-based practices to promote positive coping and adjustment for pediatric patients and their families.
  6. Collaborate with community organizations and volunteers to provide additional support and resources for patients and families.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and progress.
  8. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure open communication and coordinated care.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in child life and implement them into daily practice.
  10. Advocate for the needs of pediatric patients and their families within the hospital setting.
  11. Promote a positive and supportive work environment for child life specialists, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  12. Participate in hospital committees and initiatives related to child life services.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as professional standards and ethical guidelines for child life specialists.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve child life services to meet the changing needs of patients, families, and the community.
  15. Act as a role model and advocate for the profession of child life, promoting its importance and impact on pediatric healthcare.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Child Life, Child Development, Or A Related Field

  • Certification As A Child Life Specialist (Ccls) Through The Association Of Child Life Professionals (Aclp)

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience As A Certified Child Life Specialist In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting

  • Previous Leadership Or Supervisory Experience, Preferably In A Child Life Program

  • Strong Communication, Organization, And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Lead A Team Of Child Life Specialists.
