- Assist healthcare providers in delivering quality patient care by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks.
- Greet and welcome patients and their families in a warm and friendly manner.
- Accurately record and update patient information in electronic medical records.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Assist with minor medical procedures, including dressing changes and wound care.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
- Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Keep exam rooms and other patient areas clean and organized.
- Assist with ordering and stocking medical supplies.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Atrium Health Requires All Medical Assistants To Have Completed A Formal Training Program From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Clinical Procedures.
Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant: Candidates Must Hold A Valid Certification Or Registration As A Medical Assistant. This Demonstrates That They Have Met The Necessary Educational And Professional Requirements To Perform The Duties Of A Medical Assistant.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: Atrium Health Seeks Candidates With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant.
