Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Atrium Health Requires Candidates To Have Completed A Formal Education Program In Medical Assisting From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That Candidates Have Received The Necessary Training And Education To Perform The Duties Of A Medical Assistant Effectively.
Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates Who Are Certified Or Registered Through A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt). This Certification Indicates That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Competency Standards And Is Qualified To Perform The Duties Of A Medical Assistant.
Experience In A Clinical Setting: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Physician's Office, Hospital, Or Outpatient Clinic. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Understanding Of Medical Procedures, Equipment, And Patient Care.
