- Collaborate with OBGYN physicians to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health and history to ensure safe and appropriate care.
- Monitor and assist in the progress of labor and delivery, providing support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed.
- Educate and counsel patients on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
- Document and maintain accurate medical records.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in women's health and midwifery.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the delivery of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain certification and licensure requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to new and less experienced midwives on the team.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare team members.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and experience.
Master's Degree In Nursing With A Focus On Midwifery From An Accredited Program.
Current Certification As A Nurse Midwife From The American Midwifery Certification Board (Amcb).
Current Licensure As An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Aprn) In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Certified Nurse Midwife In An Obgyn Setting.
Knowledge And Experience With Prenatal Care, Labor And Delivery, Postpartum Care, And Women's Health Issues.
