Certified Child Life Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Provide evidence-based, developmentally appropriate interventions to children and families in the hospital setting.

3. Develop and implement child life interventions for individual patients and families.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
5. Document patient interactions and progress in medical records.
6. Develop educational materials for patients, families, and staff.
7. Provide age-appropriate therapeutic activities to patients.
8. Create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
9. Monitor patient responses to interventions and modify as needed.
10. Remain up-to-date on current trends in child life practices.
