  1. Coordinate and schedule medical appointments for patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Obtain all necessary authorizations for medical procedures and appointments.
  3. Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure smooth scheduling and authorization processes.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all scheduled appointments and authorizations.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  6. Educate patients on their scheduled appointments and necessary authorizations.
  7. Stay up-to-date on medical procedures, insurance policies, and scheduling protocols.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  9. Work closely with billing and coding departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of authorizations.
  10. Identify and address any scheduling or authorization issues that may arise.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the patient experience.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve upon scheduling and authorization processes.
  15. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Healthcare Coordination Or Scheduling, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Empathize And Build Rapport With Patients And Their Families.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Verification And Authorization Processes, And Scheduling Software.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Manage A High Volume Of Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field Preferred.
