Job Description

This includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients overcome their mental health challenges.To excel in this role, you must have a master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field, and be licensed in the state of North Carolina as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).   1. Conducting mental health assessments to identify patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  2. Implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients manage and overcome their mental health challenges.
  3. Providing individual, group, and family therapy sessions to patients.
  4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  6. Participating in team meetings and case consultations to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
  7. Keeping up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of behavioral health.
  8. Advocating for patients and their families to ensure they receive the best possible care and support.
  9. Maintaining all required licenses and certifications and adhering to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
  10. Demonstrating empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients and their families.
  11. Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  12. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to foster a collaborative and supportive treatment environment.
  13. Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  14. Adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations of Atrium Health.
  15. Contributing to the overall mission and goals of Atrium Health by providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Psychology, Counseling, Or Social Work From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Behavioral Health Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Licensure Or Certification As A Licensed Professional Counselor (Lpc), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw), Or Licensed Marriage And Family Therapist (Lmft).

  • Knowledge And Experience In Evidence-Based Therapy Techniques, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Cbt) And Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (Dbt).

  • Strong Understanding Of Mental Health Diagnoses And Treatment, As Well As Laws And Regulations Related To Patient Confidentiality And Ethical Standards.
