- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in the urology department, following all established protocols and procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, in collaboration with the urology team.
- Monitor and manage patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice, including but not limited to catheterizations, biopsies, and minor surgeries.
- Educate patients and their families about urological conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient interactions, procedures, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Keep current with developments in urology and apply new knowledge and skills to provide the best care to patients.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and other activities as required by the organization.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
Medical Degree: A Minimum Of A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School Is Required For This Position.
Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Urology By The American Board Of Urology Or Have An Equivalent Certification Recognized By Atrium Health.
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Of North Carolina Or Be Eligible For Medical Licensure In This State.
Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Urology Practice Is Preferred, With A Strong Focus On Outpatient Care And Surgical Procedures.
Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals. A Commitment To Providing Compassionate And Patient-Centered Care Is Essential.
