  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in the urology department, following all established protocols and procedures.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, in collaboration with the urology team.
  4. Monitor and manage patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  5. Perform procedures within the scope of practice, including but not limited to catheterizations, biopsies, and minor surgeries.
  6. Educate patients and their families about urological conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  7. Document all patient interactions, procedures, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  10. Keep current with developments in urology and apply new knowledge and skills to provide the best care to patients.
  11. Maintain a professional and positive attitude while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  12. Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  14. Participate in meetings, trainings, and other activities as required by the organization.
  15. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Minimum Of A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School Is Required For This Position.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Urology By The American Board Of Urology Or Have An Equivalent Certification Recognized By Atrium Health.

  • State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Of North Carolina Or Be Eligible For Medical Licensure In This State.

  • Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Urology Practice Is Preferred, With A Strong Focus On Outpatient Care And Surgical Procedures.

  • Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals. A Commitment To Providing Compassionate And Patient-Centered Care Is Essential.
