- Provide exceptional care to patients in the field of primary care sports medicine.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement innovative solutions and treatment plans for patients.
- Educate and train future healthcare professionals through lectures, clinical demonstrations, and mentorship.
- Participate in the development and implementation of research studies related to primary care sports medicine.
- Stay current with advancements and best practices in primary care and sports medicine through continuing education and professional development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and sports teams to promote and enhance the services provided by Atrium Health.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including medical records and reports.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for students and residents, providing guidance and support in their education and training.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the practice of medicine and ensure compliance with all policies and regulations of Atrium Health.
- Collaborate with other physicians and healthcare professionals within Atrium Health to ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote awareness and prevention of sports-related injuries.
- Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Serve as a representative of Atrium Health at professional conferences and events related to primary care sports medicine.
- Continuously evaluate and improve personal performance and contribute to the overall growth and success of the primary care sports medicine program at Atrium Health.
Medical Degree: Atrium Health Requires All Academic Faculty Physician - Primary Care Sports Candidates To Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Their Primary Specialty, Such As Family Medicine Or Internal Medicine, And Must Also Have A Subspecialty Certification In Sports Medicine.
Residency Training: Atrium Health Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed An Accredited Residency Program In Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Or Emergency Medicine. Completion Of A Fellowship In Primary Care Sports Medicine Is Also Preferred.
Teaching Experience: As An Academic Faculty Position, Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Teaching Medical Students, Residents, And Fellows. This May Include Leading Didactic Lectures, Facilitating Small Group Discussions, And Supervising Clinical Rotations.
Clinical Experience: Atrium Health Seeks Candidates With A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Primary Care And Sports Medicine. Experience In Treating Athletes Of All Ages, Managing Musculoskeletal Injuries, And Performing Sports Physicals Is Highly Desirable.
