- Operate Omnibus: The primary responsibility of the Omnibus Operator is to operate the bus in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide Safe Transportation: The safety of our passengers is our top priority, and the Omnibus Operator is responsible for ensuring that all passengers are safely transported to their desired destinations.
- Maintain Vehicle: The Omnibus Operator is responsible for conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, reporting any issues or damages, and ensuring that the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Follow Schedules: The Omnibus Operator must adhere to the transit system's schedule, making sure to arrive and depart from designated stops on time.

Experience In Operating Buses Or Other Large Vehicles: Prior Experience Operating Buses Or Other Large Vehicles Is Preferred For This Role To Ensure A Smooth Transition Into The Position And Familiarity With The Equipment.
Knowledge Of Traffic Laws And Safe Driving Practices: A Thorough Understanding Of Traffic Laws And Safe Driving Practices Is Essential For An Omnibus Operator To Safely Transport Passengers To Their Destinations.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: As The Face Of Atlantic County's Transportation System, An Omnibus Operator Must Have Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills To Interact With Passengers And Provide A Positive Experience.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours And Weekends: Omnibus Operators May Be Required To Work Early Mornings, Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays To Accommodate The County's Transportation Needs. A Willingness To Work A Flexible Schedule Is An Important Qualification For This Job.
