Job Description

Atlantic County is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director to lead our Juvenile Family Crisis Intervention Program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee and develop a program that provides critical support and guidance to at-risk youth and families in our community.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive Juvenile Family Crisis Intervention Program that effectively addresses the needs of at-risk youth and families in the community.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the program, including managing a team of staff and volunteers, developing and maintaining program policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for the program, building and maintaining relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other relevant agencies.
  4. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of the program's effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to ensure its success.
  5. Provide crisis intervention and support services to youth and families in need, including conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing case management.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of vulnerable youth and families.
  7. Monitor program budget and expenditures and make recommendations for allocation of resources to support program goals and objectives.
  8. Stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in the field of juvenile justice and crisis intervention and incorporate them into the program's operations.
  9. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards, including maintaining confidentiality and following mandated reporting procedures.
  10. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for staff and volunteers, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
  11. Represent the program and the county in various meetings, conferences, and events related to juvenile justice and crisis intervention.
  12. Serve as a role model and advocate for the program's mission and values, promoting a culture of compassion, empathy, and dedication to helping vulnerable youth and families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Working With At-Risk Youth And Families

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team

  • Knowledge Of And Experience With Crisis Intervention Techniques And Resources

  • Familiarity With Local And State Laws And Regulations Related To Juvenile And Family Services.
