Serve as the primary medical expert for AstraZeneca's liver cancer portfolio in the United States.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth and success of the liver cancer portfolio.
Lead and mentor a team of medical professionals to ensure the highest level of medical expertise and support for the portfolio.
Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and medical experts in the field of liver cancer.
Provide medical insights and guidance to cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and clinical development.
Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in the field of liver cancer and ensure the portfolio remains aligned with current standards of care.
Collaborate with global medical teams to ensure consistency and alignment of medical strategies and activities.
Participate in the development and execution of clinical trials and other research initiatives.
Represent AstraZeneca at medical conferences, symposiums, and other scientific events.
Serve as a liaison between AstraZeneca and healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape and make recommendations for portfolio improvement.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of patient needs and advocate for their well-being in all aspects of the role.
Contribute to the overall success of AstraZeneca by promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

Job Qualifications

Medical Degree: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Will Ensure A Strong Foundation In Medical Knowledge And Understanding Of Liver Cancer.
Board Certification: The Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Medical Oncology Or A Related Specialty, Demonstrating Expertise In The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Liver Cancer.
Extensive Experience: A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Medical Field, With A Focus On Liver Cancer, Is Required For This Role. This Experience Should Include A Combination Of Clinical Practice, Research, And Leadership Roles.
Leadership Skills: The Us Medical Head, Liver Cancer Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Medical Professionals. As Such, The Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Inspire A Team, Communicate Effectively, And Make Strategic Decisions.
Industry Knowledge: A Deep Understanding Of The Pharmaceutical Industry, Specifically In The Field Of Oncology, Is Essential For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Drug Development, Clinical Trials, And Market Trends In Liver Cancer Treatment.
