Job Qualifications

Advanced Programming Skills: A Senior Statistical Programmer, Oncology At Astrazeneca Should Possess Strong Programming Skills In Languages Such As Sas, R, And Python. They Should Also Be Proficient In Data Manipulation, Statistical Analysis, And Visualization.
Oncology Experience: A Strong Understanding Of Oncology Clinical Trials And Related Data Is Essential For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Programming For Oncology Studies, Including A Deep Understanding Of Relevant Regulatory Guidelines And Industry Standards.
Team Leadership: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Leading A Team Of Programmers And Providing Guidance And Mentorship. They Should Also Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.
Advanced Degree: Astrazeneca Seeks Candidates With A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Statistics, Biostatistics, Or A Related Field. A Phd In A Quantitative Discipline Is Preferred. The Candidate Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Statistical Concepts And Their Application In Clinical Trials.
Regulatory Knowledge: The Senior Statistical Programmer, Oncology Role Involves Working Closely With Regulatory Agencies And Ensuring Compliance With Relevant Guidelines And Standards. The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements For Clinical Trial Data, Including Cdisc Standards And Submission Requirements.
