Lead and manage the development and optimization of purification processes for the production of life-changing medicines.
Utilize strong scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot purification process issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new purification techniques and technologies.
Design and execute experiments to evaluate and improve purification process performance.
Analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations for process improvements.
Ensure that all purification processes meet quality and regulatory standards.
Train and mentor junior scientists in purification techniques and processes.
Maintain accurate and complete records of experiments and results.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in purification technology.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to provide updates and progress reports.
Contribute to the development of project plans and timelines.
Participate in meetings and presentations to share findings and recommendations.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
Continuously evaluate and optimize purification processes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Protein Purification: The Senior Scientist Should Have A Strong Background In Protein Purification Techniques, Such As Chromatography, Electrophoresis, And Ultrafiltration. They Should Also Be Familiar With Various Purification Methods, Such As Affinity, Ion Exchange, And Size Exclusion Chromatography.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Purification Process Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Process Development For Large-Scale Protein Purification. This Includes Experience In Designing And Optimizing Purification Processes, As Well As Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills.
Expertise In Analytical Techniques: A Senior Scientist In This Role Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Analytical Techniques Commonly Used In Protein Purification, Such As Sds-Page, Western Blotting, And Hplc. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Validating Analytical Methods For Process Monitoring And Product Characterization.
Strong Project Management Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing Complex Projects And Leading Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Be Able To Prioritize And Coordinate Tasks, Set Timelines, And Communicate Effectively With Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: A Senior Scientist In This Position Should Have A Sound Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements For Biopharmaceuticals, Including Cgmp And Ich Guidelines. They Should Have Experience In Preparing And Reviewing Documentation For Regulatory Submissions And Audits.
