Develop and lead innovative projects for the development of bacterial vaccine products.
Utilize expertise in fermentation techniques to optimize and scale-up production processes.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential vaccine candidates and evaluate their efficacy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments, interpret data, and develop strategies for product development.
Develop and validate new methods and techniques to enhance the efficiency and quality of fermentation processes.
Monitor and analyze data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Ensure adherence to all safety, regulatory, and quality standards in all stages of product development.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Biochemistry, Microbiology, Or Related Field: A Senior Scientist In Fermentation And Bacterial Vaccines At Astrazeneca Should Possess A Minimum Of A Phd Or Equivalent Degree In A Relevant Field. This Advanced Education Provides A Strong Foundation In The Theoretical And Practical Aspects Of Fermentation And Bacterial Vaccine Development.
Extensive Experience In Fermentation And Bacterial Vaccines: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Hands-On Experience In Fermentation Processes And Bacterial Vaccine Development. This Includes Experience With Fermentation Equipment And Techniques, As Well As Knowledge Of Bacterial Vaccine Development, Production, And Purification.
Expertise In Microbial Genetics And Molecular Biology: A Senior Scientist In This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Microbial Genetics And Molecular Biology Techniques, Including Gene Expression, Cloning, And Recombinant Dna Technology. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Bacterial Genetic Systems And Techniques For Genetic Manipulation.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Scientist At Astrazeneca Should Possess Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As The Ability To Design And Execute Experiments, Analyze Data, And Draw Conclusions. This Includes Experience With Statistical Analysis And Data Interpretation, As Well As The Ability To Troubleshoot And Solve Complex Technical Problems.
Effective Communication And Leadership Abilities: As A Senior Scientist, Effective Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential.
