Oversee and lead the Hematology Early Oncology R&D team at AstraZeneca.
Conduct strategic planning and set goals for the team to drive innovative research in the field of hematology.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the medical community and external partners.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in hematology and oncology research, and use this knowledge to inform decision-making.
Design and implement clinical trials to evaluate new treatments and therapies for hematological conditions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and ethical standards in all research activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of clinical trials and timely delivery of results.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Analyze and interpret data from clinical trials, and use the findings to inform future research and development efforts.
Represent AstraZeneca at scientific conferences and meetings, presenting on the company's research and promoting its mission and values.
Act as a subject matter expert in hematology and oncology, providing guidance and insights to the wider organization.
Drive a patient-centric approach in all research activities, ensuring that patient needs and perspectives are considered.
Continuously assess and optimize processes and procedures within the team to improve efficiency and quality of work.
Collaborate with business development teams to identify potential partnerships and opportunities for collaboration in the field of hematology.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, and promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct within the team.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Medical Degree: A Senior Medical Director In Hematology Early Oncology R&D At Astrazeneca Should Hold An Advanced Medical Degree (Md Or Equivalent) With Specialization In Hematology Or Oncology. This Qualification Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Medical Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Hematology And Oncology.
Extensive Experience In Early Oncology R&D: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Early Oncology Drug Development, Preferably In The Biopharmaceutical Industry. This Experience Should Include A Deep Understanding Of Clinical Trial Design, Regulatory Requirements, And Drug Development Processes.
Leadership And Management Skills: A Senior Medical Director At Astrazeneca Is Expected To Provide Leadership And Strategic Direction To The Hematology Early Oncology R&D Team. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Leadership And Management In A Complex And Dynamic Environment.
Strong Scientific And Analytical Skills: As A Key Member Of The Research And Development Team, The Senior Medical Director Should Have Excellent Scientific And Analytical Skills. This Includes The Ability To Critically Evaluate Data, Draw Conclusions, And Make Informed Decisions To Advance The Hematology Early Oncology R&D Pipeline.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Abilities: The Role Of A Senior Medical Director At Astrazeneca Involves Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, External Partners, And Key Stakeholders.
